Let’s Make Pull-Push Paraparamanga!

Making a Pull-Push Paraparamanga is a fun craft project that can be done in home. So let us begin and make this homestay fun and productive.

Materials Requires:

  • 2 sheets of colorful A4 paper
  • A small piece of construction paper
  • Ruler
  • Glue Stick
  • Pencil
  • Colors

What to do next?

You can follow these simple steps to make your pull-push paraparamanga:

STEP 1:

Take two different colored A4 papers.

STEP 2:

Cut one of the A4 papers into:

– 5 squares of area 6 cm (length) x 6 cm (breadth)

– A long piece of paper of area 25 cm (length) x 6 cm (breadth)

– A short piece of paper of area 12 cm (length) x 2 cm (breadth).

STEP 3:

Cut the other A4 paper into 5 squares of area 5 cm (length) x 5 cm (breadth).

STEP 4:

Take the two different sets of squares and glue them together using a glue stick.

You should have five pieces of squares which look similar to this.

STEP 5:

In the long piece of paper, mark it using one of the squares. After it is done, take a measure of 1 cm and mark it 4 times so that there are four 1 cm spaces.

STEP 6:

Fold all the lines that have been marked one after the other.

Then, stick the top part of the square piece alongside the outline using the glue stick.

STEP 7:

Similarly, stick the other squares so that the outline and the border part of the square join each other. After sticking all the squares, fold the paper as shown below.

STEP 8:

Now, place the small piece of paper under it. Glue the small piece of paper only using its ends to the last empty piece of the paper.

STEP 9:

Cut the construction paper into the required shape and put it into the back side of the paraparamanga inside the overlapping cover and glue it.

STEP 10:

In the pieces of paper, draw 5 similar images that will show your character moving and become your animation.

STEP 11:

Cut the long piece of paper into a pointy shape and add some decorations to it. Now, Grab the short piece of paper from the sides and pull the paper from the pointy end to see your drawings turning into animation.
